The Identity Crisis Book Tag

Something a little bit different today! Thanks Siobhan for tagging me in this, and thanks to Loretta for creating this tag. This is my first tag post, so let’s see how it goes.

The rules are:

1 – Take all the quizzes down below and record your answers somehow.

2 – NO CHEATING. You get one shot to take each quiz.

3 – Use this post to give credit to the creator Loretta @ The Laughing Listener or tag me on twitter @LaughnListener so I can see everyone’s answers!!

4 – Tag some friends to spread the fun!

Red Queen

WHO I AM: Kilorn.

Did you forget about Kilorn? Well you shouldn’t have! He may not be the center of attention but he has stuck by Mare since day one and didn’t even hesitate to join the Scarlet Guard. Just like Kilorn, your loyalty and bravery are your most admirable qualities. Rise, Red as the Dawn!

Okay. I really didn’t like this series (I only made it through the first book, and barely) and Kilorn was one of my least favourite characters, so… definitely off to a bad start! Can’t even say I’m particularly brave, either, so… on to the next!

WHO I AM: Jem Carstairs and Alec Lightwood.

You’re selfless yet guarded, protective and romantic. You value those around you more than yourself, and sometimes you need to be reminded to take a moment for yourself! You’re the friend that everyone loves to have around, even if you doubt it sometimes.

I guess this sounds a little like me?? Definitely better than the last one, at least! I like both of these characters too, so I’m definitely happier to accept this result than the first one. I’m just glad I didn’t get Simon.

Throne of Glass

WHO I AM: Yrene and Elide.

People may not give you enough credit upon meeting you, but you are brave beyond compare. You are intelligent and perservere through the toughest of circumstances. No one should underestimate you.

Yrene and Elide were two of my favourite characters when reading this series, so I’m quite happy with this. I wouldn’t say it particularly matches up with my personality, but getting your favourite characters still counts, right?

The Hunger Games

WHO I AM: Effie Trinket

Well, you’re certainly no shrinking violet, are you? You stand out in a crowded room and like the finer things in life. But despite your flamboyant nature you are one of the kindest and loving people out there and a dear friend. You may be surrounded by sorrow from time to time but you’ll always be upbeat, because you’re you. Keep on smiling.

I mean… I’m quite shy, so standing out in a crowded room is probably my worst nightmare. I read the books when they first came out, so I can’t really remember how I felt about Effie when reading about her character, but I remember really not taking to her in the movies.

Harry Potter

WHO I AM: Neville Longbottom

You’re awkward and clumsy and hate being the center of attention. But you’re brave and big-hearted and people can always trust you to help them out in a bad situation.

I guess I did just say I hate being the centre of attention… I mean, I guess we all instantly have negative associations with Neville, but he was pretty great in the end. And I am pretty awkward and clumsy too, so I guess this one isn’t far off.

A Court of Thorns and Roses

WHO I AM: Lucien

Your soft heart, sharp tongue, and cynical nature bring laughter and fiery wit to every conversation. But that bravado simply hides the broken pieces of your soul, leftover from your family’s betrayal. You’ll need to figure out how to put yourelf back together, and stiffen your backbone, in time to save yourself and your friends.

Well… that one got a little deep, didn’t it? I quite like Lucien, if I’m honest. I think he has a really good heart underneath it all, and I loved reading all the scenes with him and Feyre. I’m happy to take this one, even if it was a lot deeper than I expected!

The Raven Cycle

WHO I AM: Blue Sargent

You are outspoken, and walk to the beat of your own drum. You’ve always been different, and take pride in your individualistic nature. Although you try to maintain a rebellious streak, you are consistently told that you are sensible. Remember, don’t kiss any strange boys!

I’ve only read the first book in this series and I really didn’t enjoy it, but I guess getting the main character isn’t too bad?? I don’t really remember much about The Raven Boys at all, other than spending half of it feeling confused, and the other half wondering what the hell all of the hype was about.

WHO I AM: Jessica Stanley

The friend that everyone needs in their life, you must be Jessica! Sure, humans might not get to have as much fun as vampires, but you’ll show ’em how it’s done. You’re ever so curious, ever so friendly, and a little bit crazy — who wouldn’t want you as a BFF?

I guess that’s nice? It’s hard not to think of Jessica as Anna Kendrick not giving a shit/forgetting she was even in Twilight. I can’t say I ever particularly liked her as a character, but it’s not like many of the secondary characters were very fleshed out in these books, so I can hardly blame her.

Folk of the Air

WHO I AM: Taryn

People may think you’re shy but you have secrets of your own. You have your own desires and will go after them, no matter what it takes.

Controversial! I go back and forth between liking and disliking Taryn, so not sure how I feel about this one. I think pretty much everyone in the bookish community despises her now, though, so maybe it’s not looking to good for me right now…

The Lunar Chronicles

WHO I AM: Jacin

Personal guard and pilot for head thurmatauge in the Lunar Army. He has an abrasive personality and can be quiet and surly. He will do anything to protect the ones he truly cares about.

I haven’t actually read this series, so not really sure if that’s good or bad! Well, that’s a lie. I read the first book about a million years ago, but I couldn’t tell you a single thing about it other than remembering the main character has a robotic leg — and that’s probably only because the cover reminded me of that.

I’m quite new to the community, so I don’t really know many people yet! If you’re not really in to tag posts, then no worries! I’m going to tag:

Dominique / Sammie / Nicole / anyone else who wants to give this a go x
